Our strategic focus areas for advancing human rights protection and institutional reform in Somalia
Ensuring equal access to fair and effective legal remedies for all citizens through strengthened judicial institutions and comprehensive legal aid programs.
Safeguarding the rights and dignity of women and children through comprehensive protection programs and advocacy against gender-based violence.
Defending press freedom, media independence, and the right to free speech through advocacy for journalist safety and combating censorship.
Promoting transparency and good governance through systematic monitoring of human rights violations and institutional oversight mechanisms.
Our approach to human rights protection is built on three fundamental principles: transparency, accountability, and inclusive participation. We believe that lasting change comes through building strong institutions, fostering dialogue between all stakeholders, and ensuring that the voices of marginalized communities are heard and respected.
We work closely with civil society organizations, government institutions, international partners, and communities across Somalia to create comprehensive solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term systemic challenges.
Through evidence-based advocacy, capacity building, and strategic partnerships, we aim to create an environment where human rights are not just protected on paper, but are lived experiences for every Somali citizen.
